Firefox 3 Download Day

Firefox 3 Download Day

There is a campaign at spreadfirefox.com that aims to set a Guinness record for the most software downloads in 24 hours. I think for the great value that Firefox provides to all of us whether end-users, developers or the open source community, we should try to help it as much as we can. We (in Gaiaware) will participate in the download day to help the best browser on the planet. We have tested our Beta Release of Glory, just released today, on Firefox 3 RC1 and it was fantastic. Gaia runs lightning fast on Firefox 3 (orders of magnitude faster than IE).

If you can't wait until the release you can get a taste of it by downloading the RC version, you can install it side by side to Firefox 2.x (as long as you install it to a different directory). And also Firebug has a beta version that works with Firefox 3.

You can go to spreadfirefox.com and pledge that you will participate. Although the release date of Firefox 3 is not announced yet, you can find out all the latest news and when it will be released through twitter (twitter.com/mozillafirefox).
