What is in it for me (ref; Gaia Ajax Widgets Glory release)

2. Jun 2008

We just had a BETA release (our first public BETA) of Gaia Ajax Widgets Glory Release today and I wrote another blog about it last night at roughly 4 O'Clock in the morning and I guess many users are asking the above question. I could go on elaborating about the fact that it's 25 times faster on your server-iron, it's 100% XHTML compliant or that it runs 10 times faster also on the client-side and that the Search Engine visibility have increased by orders of magnitudes, as have also the accessibility parts of Gaia. Or I could tell you that it's a 100 times easier to skin or develop your own custom extension controls on top of etc. But I won't do that. ;)
I think I'll rather answer the question with some cool screenshots of the BLING parts of Gaia Ajax Widgets 3.0 - Glory. After all, we think our minds are in control, but really it's our hearts that truly is in control.

Here's an example of our Ajax TreeView Control.

Here's a sample of how to create an Ajax GridView in Gaia.

Here's how to create an Ajax IGoogle like portal in less than 100 lines of C#.

Here's some Complex Ajax Controls mixed together to give the user a pretty rich user experience.

It might be just me (and the rest of the Titans team) since we have been sweating tears and blood for three months now over the source creating this product, but I feel this is starting to be pretty great and looks awesome. In fact I am willing to bet that if I had a browser without chrome, which means users couldn't click "View Source" I could convince skilled developers that what they are looking at is Silverlight and not Open Web Ajax Technology ;)

Tired...! :)
Turning of my laptop for the first time in more than three months, happy with our by FAR most successful release till now and by FAR all time high in our weblogs, press coverage and so on :)
Now it's up to you to use it :)

Oh yeah, in case you wonder, it IS a BETA release, the REAL stuff is yet to come...

Oh yeah 2.0 (funny;)) the goods can be found here and the "stasi" installer system is OUT! No "phone home" during installation, no need to use license files or anything. It just works right out of the box :)))
