Howdy all, I'd like to thanx everyone that so far have participated in the development of Gaia and made it into the nice and brilliant Ajax solution we think it is today! :)

Either through bugreports, forum postings, feature requests or any other way...

I'd like to use the time after the newly released Service Pack to get some thoughts of "the road ahead" which basically means I need YOU to tell us where you'd like to see Gaia move?

  • What features would you like in Gaia
  • What information are you missing at the website?
  • What features of the web are you missing? [Wiki??]
  • Does the documentation £$##%?
etc...

This prouct is dependant on YOUR opinions to blossom, and so far YOU have done a really great job, but we need yor help to make it even BETTER than what it is today!

So if you have some ideas or there's something you miss or something you'd like to see, either in Frost Innovation's customer support, the product or the website, please let us know! :)

FYI, we've just created Update Control support in Gaia.
There's now a property on the Manager object in Gaia called UpdateControl which you can set in Page_Load which can be any Control derived type (normally you'd use Panel or a custom created one)
Then when ANY Ajax Request (Gaia) is being created that Control will be made visible and when that request returns it will be IN-visible again.

We've created an example of how to use this which will be a part of the download when we release this.

This code is currently only in our Subversion repository, but will be a part of the next release (if that's a Service Pack or a Qx Release we haven't yet decided)

I have been testing the prototype for this control with fantastic results. I am using a Gaia:Image with an animated GIF as the image for the control and sure enough, every time the ajax is communicating with the server, my GIF appears and dis-appears when it is finished. Totally agree, this was a much needed feature and now it is here.

Great Work....
