eZ Conference 2007 - The Greatest Open Source happening in Norway

The eZ Conference this year was a great success, it was basically a three days long celebration of Open Source and for those that didn't attend I must say you really missed out something GREAT! Frost Innovation made lots of contacts there in addition to being interviewed by the largest developer magazine in Germany and the largest IT Magazine from France, so with a little bit of luck they're going to write something about us soon.

Here are some images that tries to wrap up the feeling of being there...

The Norwegian minister of Innovation held a brilliant talk about Open Source in the public sector, here she is opening the party in what is going to be the joint localization placement of all members of IKT-Grenland.

Here's Felipe from Columbia together with one of the guys from the College in Bø-Telemark. Felipe works for a company called aplyca which can be found at their eZ Conference Consulting website. Felipe and his company are doing some very nice work on the eZ Publish platform, so if you need a cheap web solution with a very good CMS you should pay him a visit! :)

Here's Zak Greant from Mozilla Foundation and Free Software Foundation delivering a brilliant speak named; "A visionary look at Open Source".

IBM obviously does things "their way"... ;)
(It's IBM's Hummer Limo...)
The IBM Hummer Limousine (and 2CV)

This was IBM's stand, needless to say it was the biggest stand out there... ;)
Who said you couldn't be filthy rich and still evangelize Open Source?

Here is our stand, we decided on the slogan; "Code Less, Create More" only some few days before the opening, but I think the poster came out nice!
Great work on that one Stian! :)
Alexander Farstad the CEO of eZ Systems is talking with the leader of the "Getting Senior Citizens onto the internet group"!
She was a very IT skilled woman (for her age) and I had a long and very interesting chat with her about her work getting Senior Citizens to learn, use and embrace the internet as a means of communication and "getting outside"!

If you can't beat them with the concept of Freedom to use, modify and learn, then use MASSAGE CHAIRS!

Here is Frithjof Wilbourn (God only knows if I've written that one correct... ;) interviewing Alexander Farstad from eZ.

And finally; All the winners of this years eZ Awards :)
(Notice the guy in kilt, I'm not really sure if he used it since he's from Scotland or because it just was REALLY hot this day... ;)

Well, that's about it!
The Conference was a HUGE success and I urge you all to some next year if you're interested in web development, Ajax, Open Source and parties! :)
