New release, new features, two new supported platforms, man are we proud to present the latest release and newsletter for Gaia Ajax Widgets to you :)
Here's the newsletter we have just sent to our many thousands of registered users all around the world. Enjoy, WE did!! :)
So, you didn't get your summer vacation this year either?
...this guy did!
He used Gaia in the last project and didn't have to push the deadlines this year!

New release - new features
We are happy to announce a new release of Gaia Ajax Widgets. Features added:
|
- Update Progress control. Many of you have been asking for something to show up while waiting for responses to return from the server. The result is a extremely flexible control which is a new property on the Manager of Gaia called UpdateControl. This property takes a type of System.Web.UI.Control and allows you to set anything you want to be an update progress control. For you as a developer this means tons of flexibility yet full control.
- Window Resized event added. As our PageFlakes/NetVibes sample shows you, some crazy things can be done with the existing Moved event. We think many creative developers will find the new Resized event extra interesting. This fires when the window is resized, and the ResizedEventArgs has properties for the Old Width, Old Height, Width, Height, Maximized and Minimized. We'd like to hear about your ideas! Please post them in our forums.

| 100% Mono support It's hard for us to hide our proudness of being 100% compatible with Mono. This means that you can publish your web application built with Gaia on a Linux server. Microsoft ASP.NET Ajax is NOT compatible with Mono. Say no more! |
| 100% Opera support Some of you have asked about Opera support, and here it is! As important as the compatibility itself is the fact that Gaia proves its quality by being a cross browser framework. Frost Innovation (our company) and Opera are both companies based in Norway. We are looking forward to a long and innovative life for both of us. |
