Gaiaware (we're changing the name of the company today) are proud to present the;
Gaia Programming Contest . We in Gaiaware strongly believe in making a difference the little time we each have on this planet. We're therefore announcing today the Gaia Programming Contest which is a contest about creating a piece of software that will serve as a portal for solving the Earth's major problems.

Ask questions and share ideas in our forums Basically the contest is about creating an Ajax Application that will serve as a meeting place for people dedicated to solving environmental issues like for instance the
Global Warming problem. All entries must be available for being put out as GPL software at either
SourceForge.net or some similar Open Source hosting service. The software also must use
Gaia Ajax Widgets in one form or another. Also no Close Source dependencies can be used which means that the end product must be compilable on
Mono.
Miguel de Icaza the founder of Gnome and Mono, Eirik Chambe-Eng the founder of Trolltech and Qt and Dag Andersen the author of "The 5th step" in addition to Thomas Hansen from Gaiaware will be deciding the winner before the 1st of May 2008. All submission must be sent to

1st of April 2008 GMT0. If we all pull together we can make drastic changes for the world!
